Son of the steppes and of Irish kings,
A bard long-ago at clan gatherings,
Healer and helper in our time,
You are a garland of nature’s prime,
Gathered from gardens far from the West:
Thistle and meadowsweet, crocus and reed,
Rich purple orchids and gold flaxseed.

Strength filled with purpose and magic charm
Forged in the hearth of the Texas sun,
Help shape a life filled with all good things,
Love for your family, time for your dreams.
Gather from hillsides here in the West
Indian paintbrush, wild plum bloom,
Bluebonnets, foxglove, and scarlet broom.

I'm a New York grandma, living in San Antonio. I've been writing nonsense for a few years now, and I think there's enuff of it now to start a blog.
